I just started making wire wrapped jewelry a little bit ago and first it was awful. I did what I always did and picked the hardest pattern I could find and thought it would go great. It didn’t. It was frustrating and annoying, and finally, I gave up.
A couple of weeks ago, I went to the Barnes and Nobles down the road from my apartment to look at the craft books. I pulled one off the shelf called Wire Jewelry Masterclass by Abby Hook. This book is excellent. The beginning patterns are patterns to get beginners used to bending wire. Most books that include patterns for beginners are just ugly. The designs are beautiful and not over the top. They are statement pieces don’t get me wrong, but they are also wearable. So far I have attempted one of her patterns. They are called Butterfly Wing Double Spiral Earings. Hers look like this:
By a happy accident mine ended up looking like this:
I like the way mine turned out I think the little copper hearts are cute
Really I do love this book http://www.etsy.com/listing/83696208/wire-jewelry-masterclass-book .
